Building a Better Community

In addition to contributing financially to numerous local charities and sponsoring events for their benefit, Armstrong Homes encourages its employees and certified ArmSystem builder to volunteer within the community. Armstrong is actively involved in building comfortable homes for those in need through Habitat for Humanity. Armstrong's home building efforts for the benefit of Habitat for Humanity have been Honored and official Proclamation by the Mayor of the City of Tacoma, Washington.

Armstrong's "Healthy Housing" construction methods have been recognized by the State of Washington Office of Trade and Economic Development. The company adheres to strict Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards in the use and clean-up of organic compound materials and avoids the use of toxic materials.

To further protect natural resources, Armstrong uses lumber registered under the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), and participates in a tree-harvesting program with wide ranging conservation goals including the protection of wildlife, plants, soil, and water quality.
